Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components

An  upgrade item  is a special item that can make certain Pokemon evolve. The Upgrade can be obtained by spinning a PokeStop's picture disc, and is often given as a reward at Pokemon GO events.

Upgrades can be applied to weapons, armors, trinkets, and gathering tools to boost their level. The upgrade costs Flightstones and crests, depending on the item type.

Upgrade components

Upgrade components can be slotted into armor, weapons trinkets and gathering tools to offer bonus effects or attribute bonuses while the equipment is being utilized. Upgrade components can only be used on equipment with an upgrade slot. Most upgrade components also require that the item being upgraded is above a certain level. Some upgrade components also have special effects when applied to an item. Upgrade components can be obtained by crafting, bought by karma merchants or exchanged with other players through the Trading Post. They can also be rescued from equipment and redeemed as rewards.

Various upgrade components are available, each providing an individual bonus. Universal upgrades, which include gems and inscriptions, are able to be used in any type of equipment. They also offer less bonuses than other types of upgrade components. Infusions are utilized in non-amulet ascended equipment and legendary equipment, while enrichments are used to upgrade certain items that have been ascended. Inserting an upgrade component can destroy the previous upgrade. Exceptions are glyphs (which can only be inserted into gathering tools) and Enchantments, which can be removed and then reinserted.

Insignias, enchantments, and prefix/suffix upgrades will appear in the hover display of the item, while they will be added to the equipment's name (e.g. a Radiant Insignia would change the name to Radiant Tyrian Armor). The tooltip of an item will display the number of upgrade components that have been added to it.

Glyphs

Glyphs are special characters that can be added into an OpenType font to add decorative or functional elements, such as ligatures, ornaments, fractions and swashes registered trademark symbols, and ellipses. The Glyphs panel lets you look up and insert these unique characters along with standard glyphs such as em dashes, en dashes, registered trademark symbols and glyphs that don't appear in other fonts (such as dingbats).

Each Glyph provides an initial boost in stats for the character. The glyph could also be equipped with up to four secondary stats that will influence its radius on your Paragon Board. Secondary Stats are a percentage increase that is multiplied by other bonuses, with the exception of Speed Glyphs that directly increase the speed of the hero.

The Glyphs in your inventory can be activated by selecting them and then clicking the "enchant" button. This will bring up a new window that displays the Glyphs you have that can be applied to the item you have selected. Be aware that only the correct type of Glyph can be applied to the item you are looking for in that each weapon, jewelry or armor piece can have an array of different Glyphs.

You can upgrade your Glyphs by finishing Tree of Whisper Quests or Nightmare Dungeons. The more difficult the area is, the greater Glyph experience you'll earn. Once a Glyph attains level 15, it can be upgraded by the Glyph Upgrade Altar. Upgrades to a Glyph increases its radius on the Paragon Board by one node every 15 levels.

Once a Glyph has been leveled up to the desired level you can activate it by selecting it and then clicking the "enchant" button. The resulting glyph will provide its stated benefit and increase the number of nodes within its range on the Paragon Board. It is important to place glyphs in the best locations to benefit your build, and that is why it's recommended to prioritize Magic Glyphs early on. Rare glyphs may also offer double bonuses if certain conditions can be met.

Click the cycle widget to alter the view of the Glyphs Panel. Each view will display the Glyphs using a different font. You can reduce the number of glyphs by choosing an option under "Entire Font". For instance, punctuation only shows punctuation glyphs. Math Symbols restricts the choices to mathematical symbols.

Rerolling

Rerolling is a method in which you create a new account to give yourself more chances to access an item or character you are interested in. It is done to increase your level faster, or to gain more loot, such as a new weapon for your character. Many players reroll until the character they desire is available, regardless of its ability. It could be because they like the style or personality of the character.

You should ensure that you make a clean change when you restart. This means you should check locally that the patch passes the pre-commit checks and run a core development check. You should upload the patch with a clear distinction to an issue (see What is an interdiff?) ).

Rerolls can take days or weeks to complete, based on the luck of the draw. To cut down on time avoid the enemy camps which are not mandatory during this period. Additionally it is recommended to not repeat any quests that could be completed later in the game. This can help you save time and energy.

Another crucial aspect to remember when rerolling is to be sure that you are aware of the upgrade system. There are a variety of ways to improve your character's strength and appearance. This could include upgrading your weapons or characters, rerolling them and purchasing upgrades. Additionally, it is important to understand the limitations of the upgrade system.

Rerolling may not be an absolute requirement, but it is an effective way to increase your chances of getting the right character or weapon. You can use it to determine which character is the best or to experiment with different styles of play and builds.

Sets

A set is a collection of objects with common-2 attributes (like the number of eggs in a dozen, or the members of the class). Sets allow for operations like intersection, union and distinction.

Upgrades make a set better than it was before. This means that armor and weapons will have a higher defense value and lower requirement for strength.

Upgrades can bring well-known items from single sets up to the same level as those in higher-level sets. For instance upgrading Guillaume's Face helm to Elite Spired Helm can increase the defense from 217 to 321 while also reducing the strength requirement and level requirement to a more attainable range.

However it's important to remember that not all set items are good candidates for upgradation. Certain sets, like the FB Sorc spec's Whistan's Shield or Naj's Puzzler staff, are already exceptional and elite in their own right and do not require any upgrades. Certain items, like Goldwrap and Whistan's Shield (both BiS) that are frequently used may require an upgrade to increase their stats. For these kinds of products, it might be worth the cost to upp them.
